Alcohol and Substance Use

You don't have to hit rock bottom to benefit from therapy. Many of the people I work with are successful professionals who have begun to question their relationship with alcohol or other substances. They may be drinking or using more than they intended, struggling to follow through on promises to cut back, or wondering why change feels so difficult despite strong motivation.

Together, we explore not only the behavior itself, but also what it may be helping you manage—whether that's stress, trauma, anxiety, or emotional pain. My approach is nonjudgmental and collaborative, with treatment tailored to your goals, whether you want to stop, moderate your use, or gain a deeper understanding of yourself.

Trauma

Trauma doesn't always look like a single catastrophic event. It can also stem from chronic stress, childhood experiences, loss, difficult relationships, or experiences that left you feeling unsafe or unseen. These experiences often continue to influence emotions, relationships, and coping strategies long after they've passed.

Therapy provides a space to understand those patterns, process difficult experiences, and reduce their impact on your life today. We move at a pace that feels manageable while building greater self-awareness, resilience, and emotional freedom.

Anxiety and Depression

Anxiety and depression often exist beneath the surface, even in people who appear highly capable and successful. You may constantly feel on edge, overthink decisions, struggle to relax, or find yourself emotionally drained despite keeping up with work and responsibilities.

In therapy, we'll work to understand the underlying factors contributing to these experiences while developing healthier ways of responding to stress, difficult emotions, and life's challenges. The goal isn't simply symptom relief, but helping you feel more connected, engaged, and present in your life.

Loved Ones Affected By Addiction

When someone you care about struggles with alcohol or substance use, it can leave you feeling anxious, exhausted, frustrated, or isolated. You may find yourself constantly worrying, trying to help, setting and resetting boundaries, or wondering if you're doing too much—or not enough.

Therapy provides a space focused on you. Together, we'll explore the impact your loved one's substance use has had on your life, strengthen healthy boundaries, improve communication, and help you respond in ways that support both your well-being and theirs. Whether your loved one is actively using, in recovery, or resistant to treatment, you don't have to navigate it alone.
